Job Summary
Join the Strongwood team as a Framer Carpenter, where your skills will shape the very foundations of construction projects! In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of building and remodeling, bringing structures to life through your expertise in carpentry and construction management. You’ll work with a variety of materials and techniques, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality and safety.
What you’ll do
- Construct frameworks and structures using wood, metal studs, and other materials as per blueprints and schematics.
- Erect metal buildings and perform concrete forming to create strong, durable foundations.
- Install rebar and finish concrete surfaces to ensure stability and longevity.
- Execute trim carpentry, siding, plastering, and stucco work to enhance the aesthetic appeal of projects.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members on restoration and remodeling tasks to transform spaces effectively.
- Utilize hand tools for precise woodworking tasks, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in every detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while managing construction site logistics.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in frame carpentry or related construction fields. 5+ years preferred
- Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with various construction techniques including masonry, roofing, and welding.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting as required by job tasks.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in construction management or site supervision.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and masonry work.
- Experience operating heavy equipment safely on job sites.
